Create New Users on the Vera Web Portal

  1. Open and log in to the VERA Vera Administration site

  2. Display the User Management modulepage

    1. On the VERA Vera sidebar, select User Management

  3. Click the Add User button and the Add User Profile screen is displayed

  4. In the User Name box, type: tutor_da

  5. In the Full Name box, type: Tutor Domain Admin

  6. In the Email Address box, type: tutor_da@tx3servicesda@tricentis.com

  7. In the Login Identity Provider box, select VERA from the dropdown

  8. In the Password, enter a complex password

  9. Click Add User

Add domain roles to user (User Management)

  1. Open and log in to the VERA Administration site

  2. Display the User Management modulepage

    1. On the VERA Vera sidebar, select User Management

    2. On the user table, search and select Tutor Domain Admin

    3. On the VERA Vera sidebar, select Domains & Roles

  3. Add domain admin role to user:

    1. Select the Show all domains checkbox

    2. Click the Domains filter dropdown, search, and then select the Tutorial domain

    3. Click Search

    4. In the Roles box, search and select Domain Administrator

      1. Domain Administrator and Domain Viewer roles are not approval roles and do not need to exist in the Approval Policy. These two roles are meant for domain administration/audits.

    5. Click the checkbox to save role to the user

Import Users and Roles via CSV File

We will add new approvers to Vera for this new domain:

  1. Download the csv CSV file to your desktop

  2. Add passwords for local accounts

    1. Open the file to edit

    2. Add In the IdP User Name Column, add a strong password after the colon (:) in the IdP User Name Column for each user

    3. The Domain Membership Column is formatted as “Domain Name : Approval Role, Second Approval Role.” Multiple domains and approval roles can be added at once by separating domain information with a semicolon.

  3. Save the file in CSV (comma delimited) format

  4. Open and log in to the VERA Administration site

  5. On the VERA sidebar, select User Management

  6. Click Import Users and the Import Users dialog box opens

  7. Click Choose File and select the file TutorialUsersImportSample-1.csv

  8. Click Import

  9. View Latest Import Results for success status
