Identity Provider Managed Accounts

Vera accounts can also be managed by a Identity Provider configured by your system administrator. Once your Vera account has been configured to use an external Identity Provider (IdP), authentication is handled by that external IdP. You can still edit your Vera full name and email address, but logging into the system and signature authentication will be handled by the IdP. There are two ways to login with an IdP managed account.

IdP Login from the Vera Login Page

  1. Navigate to the Vera Login page by accessing the Vera URL or from a link from a third-party system (e.g. Atlassian Jira or Tricentis qTest).

  2. Enter your Vera username.

  3. Click Continue.

  4. You will automatically be navigated to your Identity Provider.

    1. If you have an open, active session with your Identity Provider, then you will be automatically redirected back to Vera with a valid login.

    2. If you do not have an active session with your Identity Provider, then you will be asked to authenticate. Once you have supplied the correct username and password, then you will be redirected back to Vera.

IdP Login from the Identity Provider Homepage

  1. Navigate to your Identity Provider homepage (eg. https://myapps.microsoft.com/ ).
