Follow the below steps to create the VERA Sync user. The VERA Sync user service account in Jira. This service account will be utilized by the VERA Server to make updates to Jira fields.

Step-by-step guide
- Click on Jira Administration icon in the top-right corner of the window (cog)
- Click on "User management" in the drop-down box
- Click "Create user"
- Fill in the following information in the "Create new user" form

- Check the Jira Software checkbox for "Application access"
- Click "Create user"

The email, full name, username and password for the VERA service account do not need to conform to specific values, but the username and password must align with the credentials of the VERA Service account defined in the VERA Synchronization Policy file. |
