How to Create Custom Fields in Jira Cloud

This guide will show you how to create custom fields in Jira Cloud. VERA requires two custom fields to work: VERA Sync ID and Pending Tasks.

1. Click on the Jira Settings option on the left hand side of the screen
   

1. Click on Issues
   
   
2. Click on Custom fields
   
3. Click on the Add custom field button on the top right of the screen
   
4. Click on the Advanced tab on the left and select the Text Field (read only) option and click Next
   
5. Fill in the Name field with VERA Sync ID and click Create
   
6. Select the screens associated with the project that you want to enable the VERA custom fields on and click Update
   
   
7. Repeat steps 4 to 7 to create a Pending Tasks field
