For records in Jira projects that are integrated with VERA, certain actions such as editing and deleting are controlled and will not always be available.

Editing

Jira records will be locked against editing in the following states (at a minimum):

  • Routing for Approval
  • Rejected
  • Approved

As a general rule, once a Jira record enters the Routing for Approval state, it will become locked against editing unless it is pulled out of the approval process before being fully approved (see Withdrawing Jira records from approval) or rejected (see Withdrawing Jira records that have been rejected).

Deleting

  • Jira records can only be deleted while in the To Do state.
  • Additionally, to protect against deletion of controlled data, records may not be transitioned back to the To Do state once they have entered another state.
