How to create the VERA service account in Jira Cloud

Follow the below steps to create the VERA service account in Jira. This service account will be utilized by VERA to make updates to Jira fields.

NOTE: This service account should not be used by any individual and the credentials should not be shared.


  1. Click on the settings cog wheel on the bottom left



  2. Click User Management



  3. Click Invite Users on the top right



  4. Invite the VERA Service Account user by putting in their email and click Invite User
