Modify Run Step Execution Status and Actual Result

A Tester can modify the Actual Result and Execution Status of a Step after the Step has been executed.

The Step Execution Status and Actual Result can be changed when the Run is in the follow Approval Statuses:

A reason will be required to enter a change reason in order to change the executed step.

If the Change Reason window is closed, the change is not allowed. Once the change reason has been entered, the change is allowed, and the record is updated:

  1. The Old and New values are appended to the run Change History field.
  2. The change reason is appended to the run Change History field.
  3. The run step Execution Status or Actual Result is updated to the new value.
If an accidental change is made to an executed step, the Change Reason windows should be canceled and the CRTL+Z undo keystroke can be used to return the Actual Results field to its previous composition.
