Create Defects

A defect can be created by any user who is assigned a role other than Viewer (i.e. read-only user). Defects can be created and linked to other entities following the steps described in the QC/ALM User Guide.

The system displays the New Defect window when the user clicks the New Defect button.

  1. The system automatically sets the Status to New.
  2. The user can set the Detected By, Detected on Date, GxP, Severity and other attributes, and then click Submit to save the defect.
