Smart Delete in Test Plan module

Test Designers and Test Administrators can delete test cases and folders, given that they are unneeded for quality or compliance reasons. This is done using the Smart Delete action. Reference Smart Delete for more information about using Smart Delete.

Special Rule(s)

  1. For test folders, the folder must be empty.
  2. For test cases, the Revision Number may not be 2 or greater.
  3. For test cases, the test case may not have any associated test runs.
  4. If requirement coverage exists, the user will be warned.
  5. The selected records will be removed from the system.
Permanently deleting an entity also removes the entity from all history tables and audit logs.
