Other Limitations

  • Imported Tosca items that contain ALM/VERA link/association information may cause issues. For example, if importing an ExecutionList into different Tosca Repository, Test Case references will be incorrect and VERA information will have to be cleared.
  • Occasionally, ALM will not close its processes properly, leaving Windows Tasks called "ALM-Client" and "COM Surrogate" running even after the browser has been closed. If troubleshooting, use Task Manager to see if these exist and close them.
  • In a multiuser environment, screenshot files must be stored in a common area that all users and the Tosca Server can access. In Test Steps, make sure the directory setting for the file is pointing to the common file share for your project. This is a training issue for Tosca engineers.
  • The Tosca Test Instance "Repetitions" attribute for repeating tests in an Execution List works, however, the current Report Template only reports on the first iteration, not all the iterations, as dictated by this setting.
