Defect Managers can close defects in order to prevent further editing of a defect without requiring approval. Reference Section 1.5 Reference Workflow Transitions for more information about transitioning workflow states in VERA.

Special Rule(s)

  1. Resolution Type cannot be blank.
  2. For GxP defects, the Resolution Type must be one of: Duplicate, Not a Defect, Not Reproducible, Obsolete Function, Transferred, or Will Not Fix. (See Below)
  3. The defect will be locked against editing.
