General Workflow

Use the Tosca Adapter to associate ALM Tests with Tosca Test Cases, and ALM Test Sets with Tosca Execution Lists. Once items are associated, the Integration "locks" or "unlocks" items in both VERA and Tosca as they move in and out of an Approval Route. When a VERA "Run Test Set" request begins, execution occurs on Remote Tosca Agent machines and results are attached to the ALM Test Set as an Execution Report in PDF format.

NOTE: Only Tests and Test Sets are integrated with Tosca. Other ALM modules or entities are not currently integrated.

In the above graphic, steps in blue are completed in Tosca, by Tosca Engineers. Steps in orange are performed in ALM by users that have permission to create Tests or Test Sets, Run Test Sets, or Approve Tests or Test Sets.
Many technical details are left out of this high-level workflow diagram. For example, in order run a Test Set on a remote, or Tosca "Agent" machine, the Agent machine must first be setup correctly. The remainder of this document describes detailed steps in the workflow.
