What's New in 2024.1

We are excited to announce Vera 2024.1!

Updated Vera documentation is available here: Vera 2024.1 Documentation

Please see Vera 2024.1 Upgrade Tasks to plan your Vera 2024.1 upgrade.

The following enhancements are included in the Vera 2024.1 release:

Expanded Support for Jira Wiki Formatting

Vera now supports displaying the HTML rendered view for Jira fields that contain Jira’s Wiki-Style Markup language. For records that are routed for approval with Vera 2024.1 or later, the field will be imported with the HTML rendered view automatically.

For previously approved records that cannot be re-routed with Vera 2024.1, they can also be displayed in the rendered view. See Support for Jira Wiki Markup for more information.

Single Sign On (SSO) Improvements

We have expanded the ways that you can log into the Vera Web Portal. In addition to the normal login flow, where you provide your Vera Username at the Vera Login page, Vera now supports logging in directly from an Identity Provider, such as MS Office or Okta. Once enabled in your Identity Provider (IdP) by your administrator, you can simply visit your IdP’s application page and click the button for Vera. Or you can visit the Vera login page and click the appropriate SSO button.

Web Portal Session Management Improvements

Vera Web Portal will now track user inactivity and force inactive users to log out. Users will be notified before they are logged out due to inactivity. See Inactivity Logout for more information.

Vera Web Portal will also display all active user sessions in a table, allowing System Administrators to be able to remove user sessions, if needed. See Active User Sessions for more information.
